This elementary school uses innovative methods of timber construction for the erection of a 9-classroom elementary school with multifunctional sports hall. Located in a small village in the countryside of Styria/Austria, the symbiotic integration of materials and techniques of construction produce an architectural composition in harmony with its rural context.
The project concept encompassed:
Timber construction and wooden cladding systems, whose scale and material presence harmonizes with local architectural traditions.
Innovative classroom planning with integrated wintergarten spaces.
Massive timber structural system and innovative wooden construction solutions.
